Partners in Flight Awards
Do you know someone who has made major contributions to landbird conservation? Nominate an individual or group for a Partners in Flight Award!
Partners in Flight Awards recognize exceptional contributions to the field of landbird conservation. Nominees who have furthered the goal of protecting migratory and resident landbirds and their habitats will be evaluated in the categories of leadership, investigations, public awareness, stewardship, and lifetime achievement. Follow the instructions below to nominate a colleague.
The 2015 Partners in Flight Award Recipients included: Wayne Arendt (Investigations), Carol Beardmore (Leadership), Humberto Berlanga (Leadership), William Glass (Stewardship), Edwin Juarez (Leadership), Judith Kennedy (Leadership), Arvind Panjabi (Leadership), Jeff Raasch (Leadership), John Sauer (Special Award for Science Support), and Carl Schwartz (Public Awareness).
HOW TO NOMINATE A COLLEAGUE
Please read the attached nomination guidelines (below). Nominations may be submitted online using the Survey Monkey link below, or by emailing me using the attached nomination form (see below).
Complete one application for each category in which you nominate an individual or group. Please provide all information requested in the nomination form, with examples of the nominee’s accomplishments relative to the selected award category. If the nomination is for an individual who works as part of a group, provide examples of the specific accomplishments of that individual within the context of the larger group effort.
Nominations will be reviewed by the Partners in Flight Awards Committee. The Committee reserves the right to reassign a nomination to a different category from which it was originally submitted. To be eligible, projects or activities must have been initiated after 1990.
Please submit your nomination no later than January 12, 2017.
